** Note: we will have a food vendor on site both days,
so you won't have to leave the grounds if you need to grab something for breakfast or lunch. **
Vern Baggenstoss is donating his time again to make us a variety of food,
at reasonable prices, with all proceeds to benefit the ACGC Cheerleading Squad.
However, once you leave for your hotel, or if you'd like to venture to town,
here is more about what the city of Willmar has to offer.
Willmar is a city with a population of approximately 20,000 residents.
It offers many restaurants, various shops, and banks in convenient locations.
Food choices range from fast food to family restaurants,
including Mexican and Chinese food, buffets, lots of pizza places, etc.
Fast food includes McDonalds, Burger King, Hardee's, Taco Bell, Taco John's, Qdoba,
Arby's, Culver's, Subway, Jimmy John's (great subs - and they deliver very quickly!)
Erbert & Gerberts (sandwiches and soups - also delivers)
Dairy Queen, and Little Caesar's (hot-n-ready pizza available).
Other restaurants include: Applebee's, Perkins, McMillans, Grizzly's Woodfired Grill,
El Tapatio (Mexican), Golden Palace (Chinese), Panda Garden (Chinese buffet),
Pizza Ranch (pizza and chicken, also available as a buffet or delivery),
Green Mill (Italian, but also a wide variety of other dishes - also delivers),
Ruff's Wings and Sports Bar (next to Green Mill, both attached to Best Western Plus)
The Oaks on Eagle Creek (a little more upscale restaurant with a bar, yet casual),
Giovanni's Pizza (great pizza, also lasagna and other pastas, plus subs - also delivers)
Domino's PIzza (of course...lol!)
Jake's Pizza (a Willmar favorite for over 40 years - also delivers),
Azteca Mexican Restaurant (downtown, authentic Mexican food and HUGE portions!)
.....I think that pretty much covers it, from what I can think of.
Oh, and a brand new pizzeria has just opened in June, right along First Street.
We are hopeful that 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza will be as good as it looks and sounds!
If you're so inclined, Foxhole Brewhouse is located downtown, featuring a wide variety of specialty, handcrafted beer.
It gets excellent reviews, but keep in mind it does not offer a restaurant menu.
If you're looking for delivery, some suggestions include:
Giovanni's Pizza (also has lasagna, other pastas, and subs),
Domino's PIzza, Jake's Pizza (a local favorite for over 40 years!)
Pizza Ranch (also offers a buffet),
Jimmy John's (sub sandwiches), Erbert and Gerbert's (sandwiches and soups),
and Green Mill restaurant delivers everything on the menu.
Shopping includes several grocery stores (including Cash Wise and Cub Foods),
Walmart (open 24 hours), Target, Hobby Lobby, Office Max, Menards, Home Depot,
Walgreens, a shopping mall with JCPenney, Herbergers, JoAnn Fabrics, and much more.
If you need to find a bank, we have Wells Fargo, US Bank, and several others.
Our Willmar Lakes Area offers many fun outdoor activities as well.
Visit the Willmar Lakes Area website for ideas or see the booklet and area maps
in your trial bag, which you'll receive at the registration table.
We would love for you to explore our beautiful part of the country!
